The Puffin Annual was a short-lived creation that followed the success of the Puffin Post, a periodical magazine printed for 'The Puffin Club' which was designed to encourage early readers. These delightful annuals (only three were published) feature articles, short stories, and poems contributed by notable authors such as Joan Aiken, Russell Hoban, Roald Dahl and Tove Jansson. They also contain beautiful, colour illustrations by various illustrators including Raymond Briggs, Quentin Blake and Jill McDonald.
