The Adventures of Galldora
Puffin 1st Edition, published 1966.
Galldora was only a home-made rag doll, with shoe button eyes and a sewn-on mouth and black wool hari, but she had heaps of personality. She belonged to a little girl called Marybell, who loved her very much, but wasn’t always very careful to look after her, so that Galldora was always getting lost. She was lots in a field with a scarecrow, lost on top of a rooft, and lost in all sorts of other strange places.
These stories by Modwena Sedgwick were great favourites on BBC Children’s Hour, and were published as a Young Puffin in this volume.
Condition grading: Good. Pen word to title page. Some wear to cover corners and spine ends. Binding tight. The photographs form part of the description.
