He explored the frozen wastes of Greenland; he climbed among the high mountains of the Himalayas; in his time he was one of the few white men who had visited Lhasa, the capital of Tibet. During the Second World War, he spent over three years behind the Japanese lines in the jungle of Malaya. This book documents a year long expedition to map the east coast of Greenland in the early 1930s.

Condition grading: Excellent Minus. Bright covers. Damage to top of spine and very minor wear to bottom of spine. Binding tight. The photographs form part of the description.
